Homemade Hummus (Tahini-Free)

It’s easy to buy pre-made hummus at the grocery store. But kids and adults alike enjoy the fresh, clean taste of this homemade hummus made with whole and recognizable ingredients. In fact, I have used it in many cooking classes and guests are always surprised by how much they enjoy this recipe even if they have never liked hummus before. You’ll like it for how easy it is to make… only four ingredients and a food processor!

1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, drained

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1/4 cup olive oil

1 clove garlic, minced

Dash of smoked paprika

Put all ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth. Chill in a covered container for 20 minutes. Serve with fresh vegetables like carrot sticks or sugar snap peas; with whole grain pita chips; or as Greek Style Hummus Dip Enjoy!
